Cadillac, Michigan 1,000,000 Gallon–Exterior Overcoat & Wet Interior Repaint

100_6353The 1,000,000 Gallon Toro Ellipse Water Storage Tank located in Cadillac, Michigan is currently undergoing an exterior overcoat, wet interior roof repaint, and dry interior partial repaint.

The exterior was high pressure water cleaned, spot power tool cleaned, and overcoated to improve the exterior aesthetics. 

The wet interior was abrasive blast cleaned to remove existing coating and coated with a new 3 coat epoxy system.

The dry interior was abrasive blast cleaned and coated with a new epoxy coating system.

Repairs include the following:

  • Replaced manway gasket
  • New wet interior roof hatch
  • Replaced fill pipe insulation
  • New wet interior ladder
  • New roof safety rail with painters rail
  • New frost free roof vent

Joe Hoban, P.E.

Dixon Engineering is pleased to announce the addition of Joe Hoban, P.E. to our staff, as a Wisconsin Senior Project Engineer.  Joe brings to Dixon over 13 years of experience with water storage, supply, treatment, and antenna installation projects.  He is also a professional engineer in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin.
